e46 m3 now 370z :D
Hello people.. just bought my z 3 weeks ago...
did the 1200 proper break in procedure (damn that was lame) had to actually drive 100-200 miles per day going nowhere lol :D anyways this car feels different.. torque seems to be more powerful comparable to sport mode on the m3... i went 130 on it and holy crap i got scared! i felt the speed. i did 140 on the e46 and just had to slow down (in a controlled environment) finally nice to drive a short row shifter unlike the e46 (that was long row punch your radio stick shift) now i can shift with a finger.. :) i turned off the traction control...... launched it like i did the m3 on 3000-4000 rpm wheels never gripped LOL! redid the whole thing with traction control on for 1st.. turned it off on 2nd gear which was actually hard since i was pretty much pushed back to my seat! :D back when i was on the e46 m3 vert it broke necks, but it seems people dont know a 350z from a 370z to save their life. attention wise, it didnt get the recognition it deserves. really needs alot of work. but isnt that what we modbugs do? mod mod mod and mod. :D im still starting to get used to JDM life. this car has so much potential. so much parts, CHEAP PARTS! and yeah its nice to finally get the car ive always wanted since i test drove this car 4 years ago. just wanted to share my experience :D ill be posting here my mods.. pics.. pretty much a 370z journal :D Edit: Mod check List :D 1. If you are going with stillen supercharger, should get a custom tune. Don't bother with the cold air intakes if you are going to supercharge. That is if you want ot save some money.

And OP please don't waste your time and money on the Stillen headers. Don't mean to be Negative Nancy, just trying to give you a few years worth of knowledge in 20 seconds |
Congrats on the purchase!

Where did you get the LED dome lights are they difficult to remove?

The worst part about putting in LED reverse lights was taking out
all the plastic rear panels. taking out the friggin tail lights which was scary cuz of the clips.. :D also changed the boot light :D the map light LED change Rear Plate light |

as for the reverse lights.. make sure to look for the DIY cuz you have to take out all the plastic panels on the boot |

I also came from a BMW. I was so disappointed by the car's lack of reliability. I kept asking myself where is this great German Engineering. 3 window regulators, a $500 thermostat, final stage resistor, broken springs, brakes every few thousand miles, along with many smaller items. The broken springs were the most surprising. Driving the same roads in all my previous cars and never a broken spring....both rears on the Bimmer. I loved the car, but was in the shop way too many times. Back to Japanese for me.

I think you've made a fine car choice. The M3 is a wonder while it is working. The you need to go to work to keep it on the road.
Welcome to inexpensive (compared) maintenance. |

And I wonder what the OP would do if he bought a Mustang. $30 oil changes and you can buy a brand name exhaust for $700??? Lol |
