I can't wait to see less 350z's on the road. It may have "meant" more to the Z revival, but the 370z is better in every way. On a personal level, I actively dislike the 350z look....at least not including the Nismo, which is ok. Other than youngins looking to upgrade over their Honda Civics, I don't know many people who like the 350z.

Maybe I just don't know many people.

When researching my '12 Roadster production numbers - they only produced 46 exactly like mine out of 1049 total for coupes and roadsters for the 2012 model year.

That makes it a classic in my book.

The 240Z along side the 280z has already made a great for the Z family in todays "classic car" market.
The 350z may miss the mark but I truly see the 370z with its powerful exterior design along its great V6 power that competes along side of those big V8 muscle houses, and can hold its own.
I believe The 370z will be desired for decades to follow as its predecessor has already accomplished, the 240Z

People don't generally know what will and won't be a classic for a long time. These things can be impacted by scarcity, pop culture, racing legacies... You can't really say what will and what won't.

Regardless, the 370 is a great enthusiast vehicle.

If there is a toy or model of the car, it is a classic

I think there are enough Z enthusiasts to keep it going, but it's going to entirely depend on the future of the Z. If the next one is mediocre, it'll help keep 370 value decent. If it one-ups the 370z, then there's not much place for the 370z to retain a place.

In a way, if you're looking for a valuable car in the future, you'd like to see the Z line dip back down, but stay relevant enough to be sought after 15 years from now by people who still have good memories of the Z. It's a good platform as it is, it just sorta depends on things outside anyone's real control now.
