Default Little brother looking to purchase a 370z.

What's a good deal on a 2009 or 2010 370z with less than 30k miles? Auto, and with sport package. He had a 350z but a drift fail occurred. He likes my Challenger but he still would like to be in a Z instead. Thanks! Also is there certain things we should look for while purchasing a 370Z?

Truthfully, have him learn how to drive/handle a cheap pos car and then get into another Z in a few years.

Lol, he drives great but drifting is what he couldn't handle. He was going from what I can tell over 65 with traction control off. It's probably my fault since I was able to do it so when he was alone he probably wanted to see if he could also.

Steering lock recall maybe, but other than that nothing to particular to look for besides on most other used cars.

I wouldn't pay more than low 20's on auto /w sport. Maybe check out the cars for sale section on this sight, might see someone local to buy from.

That's exactly what I was thinking, I've seen a red 370 for 18k with 76k miles though. Finding a low mileage one under 22k shouldn't be too difficult. Judging by your username you have a automatic correct?

I paid 24.2k on my 09 auto sport with 23k miles and could have done better

This was also in May when demand was higher and before nissan reduced the new ones by 4k

Initially my wife and I were going to get an 09 with 34k miles for 23k, base model. That would have been worse. I ended up with an RT new for 26k cause I forgot I want kids but don't want a sedan lol. I was telling my brother that there's something about 350z's that make me uneasy. The 370z is gorgeous and with a price decrease from factory used should be cheaper. How's the daily driving on it? He's 350z was so terrible it was lowered with an aftermarket suspension. It was beyond rough, and the freaking aftermarket exhaust was like thunder. Sadly it's totaled, due to his testosterone wanting to push his car to the limit.

Three years ago, I got a 2010 w/sport for $27.5k with 1,000 miles. Came with Stillen CBE, tint, door sills, trunk carpet. Not sure what it would be today, but it's some data for you.

Nope (6spd and rev, and I came up with 7 speed), just an old name I stuck with from when I had 2003 sentra spec v 6spd, and 04 Maxima 6spd.

Nothing wrong with the auto on these z's and infiniti products though, I just like to work on my right calf as well as the left.

09 is basically 5 years old and 76k is about avg at 15k yr, a little high but not out of line , if it has options and color your looking for, maybe you can get it down to $16g

I don't know what age when you say for younger brother, but based on his last f up , he shouldn't spend too much coin on his next ride.

Mine is lowered and i drive in snow. With winter tires it is fine but obviously not in a blizzard. I've driven 4 hour trips and it's good there as well except my *** is a little sore from the rough ride lol

If he wants to drift again I wouldn't recommend it though. Yes it's a good drift car but he might make another 22k mistake. Get this for daily use and a cheap 240sx to drift haha

Lmao, he's barely 18. 16k is reasonable for that mileage and year? Well the insurance covered it all, he's going to drive it safely I would hope. The 7 speed seems pretty fun, to go through the gears with as opposed to only 5. Sport package is necessary for a vehicle like this? A base is much cheaper but would it really make a difference in the automatic.

I've seen new 2014's for 25k here but all manual, wish they had automatics for that.

Why don't you tell him to come on the forum? Then we can tear him a new one, lol

Welcome. And I wouldn't buy a used one without a power train warranty because of oil consumption issues

That's why lmao. I'm his big brother, even if he's 18 I wouldn't want him scrutinized for unleashing his inner stupidness. Yeah, a warranty is for sure needed! He use to go on the 350z forum but I guess they were jackasses so he lost faith in forums.
