Default possible new problem??

i have a touring model.
so i was driving home 2 nights ago, it was around 12am at night, was playing my CDs and i noticed that the light for the radio/cd player getting dimmer and dimmer. i thought it was my eyes because i was tired.

in the morning i saw the same thing, so i tapped the screen and all was back to normal.

but today, same thing happened again and i tapped it again, everything went back to normal.

i'm guessing something is wrong. i'm going to make an appointment with the dealer and see what the hell is up.

here is where i'm talking about -

Yep, I'd take it to the dealer and have them take a look.

Any other electrical problems? Perhaps a battery issue?

Dealer will respond easily for that. Maybe is a burned fuse? or a loose connection?.Maybe your radio doesn't like your music.
If the problem is not happening at the moment or it only happens sporadically, try to take a picture (luckily) of what is happening, so you can present it as evidence to the dealer.

I have had a few minor electrical glitches crop up lately. Unfortunately, they have all been intermittent and, so, not likely to show up when the dealer's service tech has the car. The most repetitive have been:

- False tire pressure warnings. This generally happens after thirty minutes or more at 75+ mph. On a cross-country trip, the light came on a dozen times or more.

- XM radio display goes out. The radio continues to play, but the channel/artist/song display blanks out.

Other than those, everything has been great, but . . . .

Dealers response to the first issue would be fill your tires with nitrogen.

If the text blanks out but the screen is still on, it could be your reception or other interference, but if the screen turns of completely, you should let the dealer know.

Funny you should mention glitches... The other evening I was traveling approx. 50mph at dusk and noticed the emergency flashers were on...Didn't recall hitting them, just as I noticed them they turned off...Hasn't happened since....

Maybe, but it won't make any difference. All four tires have been checked after the false warning -- all four EXACTLY the same pressure and all four at 43 psi (hot). Very consistent.

Nitrogen is one of those dealer added profit rip-off items. (Air is 78%+ nitrogen. Tire dealer "nitrogen" is sometimes higher in nitrogen than air is, sometimes not.)

Well my friend, nitrogen doesn't have a problem with expanding or contracting during extreme temperatures while oxygen does, big time.

Well, my friend, I don't fill my tires with oxygen, and neither do you. Oxygen would pose an explosion hazard in that application. And, truth be told, it's not the oxygen which causes the expansion and contraction issues in aircraft tires (it's the water vapor in whatever gas you use to inflate a tire).

I fill my tires with 78% nitrogen (a/k/a "air"). It hasn't shown any pressure differential issues yet. If you will do your research, you'll find that many tire dealers sell "nitrogen" which is also 78% nitrogen. Some of them DO run it through a dehumidifier first, though.

I have done the research. Here, learn something: Nitrogen in Tires : Information about Nitrogen Tire Inflation News, Benefits, Generator Dealers, Location Finder & More

First of all I am not implying that it's 100% oxygen that's in the tires. By saying oxygen I am suggesting that the majority of what's left over after nitrogen is oxygen and that's what's in your tires. Air. Water vapor and other gases are 1% of what makes up the air. What you are suggesting is that 1% water vapor and other gases is the problem but 21% oxygen isn't.
