Of course they are. It's ImportConvert. That's what he does.

Saw this image recently. It reminded me of snow flurries at night....and of course I'm driving the Z too fast.

I felt the front end get light and I took my foot off the pedal. It did not settle down. I very very very gently applied a cm or two of brake pedal. I was hoping to shift a few % points of weight more over the front. It got worse. All of a sudden it was 180* time. I think vdc or abs stepped in and popped the rotor hard and upset things terminally. I did not lose it instantly. I'd say I lost it over about 3-5 seconds. The stock Potenzas are just no good in the rain. I have experienced just how shitty they are and I'm sorry but your rhetoric will never trump staring out my windshield at highway speeds looking at an oncoming semi. Luckiky, I slid off the embankment, completed the 360, and drove off with no damage. A true mulligan from the universe. |

I don't care what you do, although I don't wish you harm, so I'm not going to say I hope you wipe it out, but I don't know you, so I'm not here to convince you of anything as your well-being is not my responsibility. I'm just relating a story as it happened to me, and my experience with the tire in question.

The OEM tires come out at the bottom of this list, although they're the most expensive tires on it.... I just need to find a buyer for my OEM tires with 4 miles on them... Last edited by MacCool; 03-05-2014 at 06:16 PM. |

keep in mind that the treadwear rating for the pss is better, so they will likely last longer. you'll end up having to replace the s-04's sooner, somewhat negating the price advantage. whether you'll get 30% longer life from the pss i don't know.

Really doubt it, but it doesn't matter. I only need the tires to last about 16,000 miles with enough tread that I don't have to replace them right before the lease expires. The RE-050A's certainly don't meet that criteria.

That's the time of year when we put the boats and sports cars away and get out the snowmobiles. Love being able to do both in the course of a year. As we say..."Minnesota, 3 months of winter and 9 months of bad sledding". |

Cool, glad it helped. It appears that S04 prices have gone down since I bought mine - that makes them an even better deal!
BTW, if you got that "crunch" noise when you'd make sharp right or left turns with the RE050As, I'm curious to know if that goes away after you get the S04s. It went away when I got my S04s, and I bet that noise is caused by the sidewall design of the RE050As. Quote:
It's now bone dry again in CA, sunny blue skies in the 70s. Supposed to be in the low 80s this weekend - only problem is, we really need more rain (and snow in the Sierras) to help out the drought situation we have. |

No drought her, for sure. And, I live about 90 miles from the largest reservoir of fresh water in the world. And, no earthquakes, no hurricanes. If you own a warm coat, it's a great place to live. |
