The water temp dots are particularly egregious because they're non-linear and no legend is given. The dots in the middle represent very broad ranges, and then as it goes out to the edges they represent progressively smaller ranges. Basically any water temp within a very broad "normal" range all reads the same center dot - when you'd really like to see those variations to know when things are beginning to get a little too hot and you want to back off a bit. The coolant has to be way off the chart to even move that dot-meter, and at that point it basically dances all over the place quickly as the non-linear steps fall off in distance. So basically, the whole point of the strip of dots is "as long as it's sitting in the middle you're ok, worry otherwise". It might as well be one big LED that's either red or green. A sportscar driver deserves a little better feedback than that. |

^I think they put oil pressure in the 350 because (and correct me if I'm wrong) that the 350Z was more prone to losing oil pressure. And maybe the 370Z isn't, but it's definitely more prone to overheating the oil compared to a 350Z
I still agree that volts and clock are retarded. Although the V gauge did recently help a forum member diagnose his overcharging problem, lol

I own both the nismo and the veloster turbo. At speeds, the veloster is worst than the nismo when taking bumps. At slow speeds, both these cars are pretty similar when going over bumps. Going into a small dip in the road at 60mph the veloster feels like it is going to get destroyed. The nismo at least can handle the same dip. |

LOL POS, maybe to some. Everything about the car is fine. Just the suspension really needs to be refined. I have put down 2x more miles on the veloster than I did on the nismo. I have had less issues with it than the nismo.

I wish the Z had more performance information as well. Whether it be better analog gauges or info on the touch screen (for those that have it). My SRT GC has great info that has been very useful on the track and everyday driving. The Performance Pages can display 0-60, 60-0, 1/8, 1/4, G forces, oil, coolant, water, and diff temps, as well as instant hp and torque mapped against rpm's. It is easy to use and read. Having both these cars now, I can really see how much the Z is lacking. And we know Nissan has the technology because it's in the GT-R.

Yeah its true the z isnt marketed to everyone. But I myself consider the nismo a blank canvas and appreciate the lack of options. For instance I would rather pop in a few JL speakers and a new nav headunit myself than have to deal with the bose stuff. I personally think that everyone should have a little more diy spirit in themselves. Then the general public would be a little smarter for not having everything done for them all the time. Idc Whether its cell phones or cars im not gonna be sticking with the factory limited option bs they try to pass off as "as good as it gets".
