Many moons ago I was rear ended and the driver pleaded with me to just pay it off. There was a shop nearby and I got a quote for repairs and I was paid in cash a half hour later. I GOT LUCKY that there were no other issues. If you accept cash and something goes wrong later, you cannot go back as you have settled the claim. jaedub likes this.
