I spent Christmas with a Porsche owner.
 

I just got home from having Christmas with family and some friends, one of them has a $130K 2013 Porsche 4S. We talked cars for a while before he said I had to take him for a ride so he could feel the supercharger. When we got back he said "wow what did that cost you?" and from that point on all he did was gripe about what everything cost on his car and how ridiculous Porsche is. Hearing that from a Porsche man still has me smiling!

Don't take this wrong, his car is amazing!

His seats have more control switches on it than my car.

I know the feeling. My dad has a 458 italia, GTR, and a AMG. I took him for a ride in the Z and it blew him away. That is what modding is all about!

Is your dad looking to adopt by any chance?

I work with a long time Porsche owner, he respects all cars and is currently building a 53 chevy pickup, I took him for a ride(im na :() but he was quite impressed, he LOVED the FI exhaust, could not stop talking about it.

Porsche charges him $200 to change the oil with Mobile 1! He asked to see the engine in my car so I asked if I could see his but you cant see it . All you can see is a place to add water or oil and thats it! You cant even get to any dip sticks.

I'm trying to talk him into going to Sebring with me but hes afraid he will destroy his expensive tires!

A car like that and hes worried about a set of tires? :shakes head:

I said " you bought a $130k car to drive slow in traffic?" and I could see him thinking, my bet is a get a call over the next several days with more questions. When he found out I own a machine gun he made me promise to help him get one so our conversation is far from over!

A Porsche 4S is a great machine and one I'd gladly drive and never think about a 370Z, heck I'd rather have that Porsche over a GT-R. Must be fully loaded for $130k.

Passed a GT-R on the road today, looked like a Camry! I'd rather have three 370Z's!

I dont know but but he was telling me how he couldn't afford the turbo s when he told me the price.

Turbo S starts about $180k…whole 'nuther ballpark.

If you want a REAL shock, go to Porsche's website and price a 918. I about had a stroke.

The GT-R isn't exactly a real looker but to compare it to a Camry is just silly
