Went from:
Civic (5spd) -> Prelude (5spd) -> STi (6spd) -> TSX (auto) -> Prius -> Broke up with long-term girlfriend -> 370Z.

I was looking at the FRS/BRZ but it didn't click with me...I couldn't help but keep thinking it was like a rwd RSX. I was also looking at IS350, but figured the back seats were so compact...I might as well look at 2-seaters. Saw the 40th and it was love at first sight.

Is this how the conversation went down?

*you come home*
W: Hey hunny, I have some news!
RR: What, dinner is ready?
W: We're pregnant!!! Surprise honey!!!

*you storm out, peel out in your car and go to Nissan, come back, kick the door open*
RR: SURPRISE HONEY!!! I got my car, now fetch me a beer since you can't drink

Because I got my Z cheaper than the evo X I was looking at.

I've like Z cars for years and when they came out with the 350Z I couldn't quite afford one and while I liked it there was just something that didn't click. Then they came out with the 370Z. I almost bought an 09 at the end of the year but the wife was against it b/c of some kid nonsense (I told her I didn't ever want kids). This time I started talking about the car a couple weeks before hand. Told her I was going to gallivant one Saturday and she knew what was going down. I took the car home for the weekend and bought it on Monday.

I mean, it's a Z...how do you pass that up?

It had the interior and extra power I always wanted in my 350z. Let's face it...it's a gorgeous car with decent power and is fun as hell to drive from the factory.

Had a beautiful charcoal 2003 350Z. Low mileage wonderful car. Just decided to get a 70 cause I loved the looks I guess more than anything. Bought the same color and most people don't know I got a new car.lol Bang for the buck it's just a hell of a car. Just seems to be the car I never grow tired of.

The quality of the interior is just that much better. I've driven a 350z a few times and they were definitely a rattle bucket.

- Looks beautiful and sexy
- Has a measure of uniqueness to it on the road (i.e. not "common")
- V6 (I'm a V6 guy, but V4+turbo is winning me over these days)
- Has fun power and drives well, without relying on aftermarket
- felt great driving it and being inside of it
- not stupid expensive

Also have no family at the moment, so I can still get away with a 2-seater.

I'm ridiculously reserved and introverted, so the last thing I want is attention, but it is way fun the rubber necking one gets with the Z. I would dare say there's no other stock, "easily" accessible car that gets looks like that from anyone (not just the "car guys") that costs less than $100k.

V4 turbo? Hmmmm :ugh2:

I bought a 370 because it was simple enough to get it to the power level I wanted, and would still be either cheaper, newer, better looking or more reliable than the other cars I was looking at. Had the dealer been more willing to play ball on the CTSV coupe I was looking at or the Porsche dealer even spoken to me when I walked into the showroom, I'd probably have taken one of those home instead. The 370 was a solid second choice once I saw the FI options out there for it.
