Quick Q

Does any one here have just a CAI with HFC and a tune, feel a big difference or do you gotta go CBE to.

People normally get their car tuned after CAI and CBE. That's the recommended order. I think it'll be a waste of money to have your car tuned only with CAI and HFC. A quality CBE puts out more power than CAI and HFC combined.

Where did you get that info?

I have all three, CAI HFC and a CBE and i'm untuned. Should I get one? ehh wouldn't hurt but I def wouldn't say it's needed for just those two.

I have G3s, Momentum headers, TPs, Stillen UD pulley, Stillen CBE without a tune. No issues at all

Official: Do I need a tune with bolt ons? thread

Personally just have the tune done once you do all the NA mods you desire.

Or, if you don't mind spending the money for the dyno time again later...get it done now.

That's what SpecialtyZ recommended when I asked about getting my car tuned.

I REALLLLLLLY doubt they said something THAT stupid.

HFCs add almost as much as a CBE, of you have long tube intakes, there are huge gains, so yeah, if you have a shorty warm air intake, and HFCs, vs stock all everything and a FI CBE, then yeah they are probably right, or they number is very close either way.
If they mean HFCs AFTER you already have a CBE isn't worth it (law of diminishing returns) then ok, they are right

Diminishing?

:p I like my HFCs and CBE. I think I'm gonna get an UpRev tune next year sometime, but not gonna go with long tube CAI.

I do. Got the Stillen G3 CAI, Berk Test Pipes, tune, and Oil cooler. Kept the stock Nismo CBE. No big difference, IMO no standard NA modding (CAI, HFC, CBE) will make a big difference. Did I need a tune, no, car ran just fine with out it, but I didn't plan on doing any more performance upgrades any time soon and I could afford it so it made sense for me. If you want to have big gains you're going to have to do ALL the NA mods out there to get a big difference.

I 2nd this as well! Even though the mechanic was confused at first, I left the shop knowing that my car was tuned 100% I may have to go back again though because I put another 5 washers on- lmao

OP, for the love of God start making your thread titles more descriptive. "Quick Q" can mean absolutely anything.
