Thinking of getting rid of my 40th
Ok let me know what you think. I am thinking about trading in my 2010 40th anniversary in on a 2013 Black ZL1 Camaro. Its a very nice loaded car and very powerful with 580hp! I am still up in the air about it and not sure if I should just sell my Z cause they are only going to give me $25,000 for it which is making me not want to do it. I don't know I am just asking but what would someone give me for it. My Z only has 11,000 miles and is loaded. Has the Fast Intentions high flow cats with the 18" exhaust, Kenwood Dvd,Garmin Nav and Backup Camera. Z1 Wheel Spacers, Clear bra, HPS Intake Tubes with K&N Filters, Huper Optik Tint. And this car is clean!! never ever driven in the rain!! never eaten or smoked in the car!! never wrecked, only drive it on nice weekends. and probably only put maybe 900 miles on it this year!

I've never ridden in one or driven one, but I really don't like the looks of the Camaro, especially the interior.
The exterior is okay, but I wish they'd get rid of the retro look - I hate how Chevy, Ford, and Dodge did this to their cars. The interior is atrocious. Nothing flows. Colors clash. The performance of it though, can't really find a fault with that. |

I was looking at a zl1 camaro prior to when i purchased my nismo z. The thing that was the deal breaker for me was when i was sitting in the car i could not believe how hideous the interior is. I realize the car has insane power but there is no comparison between sitting in the drivers seat of a z and a camaro. Also when i took the zl1 out for a test drive it experienced body roll in the corners and just felt real bulky to drive. In a straight line the zl1 shines but anything else and it blows.
My advice to you is to keep your car and if more power is what you seek just go the FI route on your z and then you can blow the doors off the camaro. |

1 being the hud display on the windshield and it also comes with touchscreen navigation and a sunroof. 1 thing I do like is that the traction control does not come on like it does in the Z. That crap bothers me how intrusive it is when I am hardly getting on it. I know you can switch it off but it still intervenes. The seats are really nice with black leather and red stiching.

I've never had it intervene once I turn TCS off. Then again, I don't usually push it, but if I drive the same when it's on as I do when it's off, it comes on easily when making right-hand turns. |

I would first wonder what you do with the Z/Camaro. Is this Camaro also going to get about 900 miles per year? Do you track it? If not, you're not going to be able to put down all the Camaro power on the roads very often, ya know?
If you drive it only on nice weekends and never all that hard, I'd really wonder if sticking to something exotic/different like the Z wouldn't be a better call. But that's me and not you; we certainly derive our happiness in different ways! Either way, damn nice cars! |

But I have a truck and a Tahoe and my wife has a Mercedes. Back in the day when I had my EVO 8 I swore that my next sports car wouldn't be my only car to drive. So I only drive it when its nice, plus I have kids and all the activities that goes with that.
