its my understanding you can talk on the phone without touching it? is any cell phone compatible? does the dealer have to program something for you? any info would be appreciated. Mike |

It works with many bluetooth enabled phones. You press a button on the steering wheel to activate the car's bluetooth system. It then allows you to either speak a number or recall a person by name in the car's address book (which you can preprogram yourself). Then when you say "dial", the car automatically uses your phone to make the call.

for those of you who have this feature, how well does it work for you?
a friend of mine has the feature in her g35 but she says people have a hard time hearing her and she has to almost shout sometimes. she doesn't even use it anymore and got a bluetooth headset instead. |

I use it often and sound is quality ok I have my bb storm synced to the z no complaints from callers as to sound quality that I'm aware of. for an inside of how it works you can find info on the Owner's or Nav manual.

Another nice thing it does is show the phones's battery level and cell signal strength on the touch screen. |

I do need to speak louder than I would if I was on the phone itself. On the highway, I'm really making an effort to speak up. It's mostly related to vehicle noise...the louder the car/environment, the louder you'll have to speak. Overall it works well and I use it anytime I'm talking in the car.
