Default Any G37 converts?

Tried searching my question, but no luck finding anything like this.

Anybody out there former G37 owners? I always wanted a Z, but didn't have a second car to use for the winter so I needed something with AWD to at least be "usable" in the snow. Well, 2 years later, I'm sick of the 7AT in the G and I recently got myself a suitable winter car so I've been eyeing the 6MT Z a lot and have been talking numbers with dealers in my area. Have an appointment on Monday to finalize some stuff and put an order in most likely.

Long story short: Former G37 owners, happy you made the jump to a Z?

Kenchan owns both. Ask him.

Huh....I heard the auto in these cars is better than stick.

But as long as u can deal with limited visibily over your shoulder and less luxury depending on the options your looking at. You should enjoy it as long as your ready for a dedicated sports car.

I had a 2009 G37c and now a 2012 370z. 8 out of 10 days, I'd rather have the G37. It was a quieter ride which made hands-free phone conversations nicer at highway speeds. The seat went back farther which was nice because I'm tall. Every dealership service experience was better. The stock stereo was better. I guess to summarize, all the creature comforts were nicer and most days I don't have the opportunity to push the performance aspects where the Z would inch out a win.

I have owned both. I had a 2008 G37 in auto. Went from that to a Lexus is250 to a BMW 135i and now have a Z. The G was and is a comfortable car, but the Z is a DRIVERS car. Love my Z. I dont know if I can get very specific but I LOVE my Z so much more than any other car I have ever owned. Make sure you buy 6mt.

Came from g37 coupe, I really do miss amenities in g37. Much more better quality than the z for sure.

135i was nice. It was more refined than the Z. Even with the twin turbos there was practically no lag. I had the Dual Clutch Transmission. So shifting was very quick and fun. The interior was a lot nicer than the Z. Exhaust note sounded better too. Just a different experience man. You should go test drive it yourself.

I test drove a g37x coupe because I also considered needing awd for a daily in Connecticut. But I went with the Z because I was willing to sacrifice some luxuries and have a pure sports car. And I have winter tires

I didn't own a g37 coupe but did test drive a G37s 7at back to back with my 370z. The G and my Z are pretty equal from an amenities standpoint. The G had a more glitzy interior which is expected and I did like the sunroof. The ride was definately quieter as well. I ended up with the Z because it was a purpose built sports car. Hard to describe but when I sat in the Z it just felt right. The G was too watered down for me and I personally felt it was better in sedan form. I think the G coupe is a good xompromise for those who want a sporty coupe but cant have two cars.

The turbos reliability scared me. Maintenance is way too high. And I missed a manual car. The 370z looks sexy as hell. Drives like a monster. Plus I love the synchro rev match feature on it.
