Why didn't they add a capless gas cap?

Given Nissan's track record for fuel related things: starvation, sending unit, auto shutoff valve, etc., this is one more thing Nissan can screw up lol.

If you ever want to fill the car from gas-gans, like at the track, you don't want a factory capless system. The Ford system is a real pain and requires a stupid special funnel to use with gas-cans.

Here is my problem with the capless gas cap. In states were they test things of this nature like Colorado and they say your gas cap is not working properly, are they going to test these as well? I am sure they will then what is the cost when they are bad? Let me keep a darn gas cap as those are much cheaper to deal with. While I lived in Colorado I had to replace several gas caps on various vehicles. I for one do not like Fords better idea and my other vehicles all have gas caps. It ranks right up there with their crappy turn signals! Big Reason I passed on a Range Rover SUV recently.

I think these just get an auto pass for the fuel cap pressure test

worked with my gas cans without the (included) funnel.

I think it works with anything that is the new CARB design.

Blind Spot Indicator on side-mirror: for those stupid who forget/doesn't-check blind spot.

Auto-off turn signal: for those stupid who forget to turn off the signal after lane change.

Auto-park: for those stupid who doesn't have the skill to do a parallel-parking

Capless gas cap: for those stupid who always forget to put the gas-cap back in place and drive off when the hose was still attached.

are you stupid....??

Those are all great ideas! Well, except the auto park.
