It's a solution to a non existent problem, just like the push button start. Things like this to awe the video game generation have unintended consequences. I am OK with the keyless entry but had Nissan stuck with a conventional arrangement to stick a key in an ignition switch we wouldn't have the stupid engineering of the steering lock that failed and wouldn't have a big wad of keys in our pockets or in the cup holder because they would be in the ignition where they worked pretty well for about the last 100 years.

Well look at the bright side -- if you drop your car keys you can push your Z around until it beeps and finds them for you.

I have to disagree with this... I love not having to take my key out of my pocket.. and that you can start the car, lock it, and walk back in the house while its warming up..

Ever lock your keys in any of your previous cars? How many times have you locked your keys in your Z?

I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd hear someone bitch about push button start.

Do you just hate science and technological advancement?

Do you hate cool?

Doesn't it also help prevent the ignition being punched and used with a screwdriver too?

While my Z lives in the garage, this is the reason I like have the same feature in my Altima, which lives outdoors. No need for an extra house key during cold weather. (Well, the couple weeks per year is is close to cold for SC.)

Stant was one of my clients. They're pretty much moved their operations from the US so I don't do much with them anymore. But here's the embroidery we did for this product when it was first launched.

Well if it's a real jeep it kind of needs a fuel cap, as there is no fuel door.
