Why didn't they add a capless gas cap?

Ford started the capless gas cap in 2009. I think it is a great idea. I don't know why one does not exist for the 370Z, heck gas caps have

Default Why didn't they add a capless gas cap?
Ford started the capless gas cap in 2009. I think it is a great idea. I don't know why one does not exist for the 370Z, heck gas caps have no changed in decades except for this one difference. I want to get one but I have to ask myself why Nissan did not add one to start with. Do they know something I don't know, or did they mis the boat, or am I ahead of the curve? Anyone have one or have opinions?
