I've had this problem off an on for years (no its not my brake fluid top-off). My rear diff had a small leak on the side seal which was getting my abs sensor dirty enough to fail.

I fixed the leak and cleaned the sensor and ... problem solved. sometimes it comes back when there is a lot of mag chloride (used to melt highway snow like salt) buildup under the car. Hitting it with some water at the car-wash seems to fix the issue until it gets dirty again.
