Oh -- Reported. |
Back on topic, it definitely sounds like right hand fuel starvation. Pour in a gallon of gas and you should be fine just keep your fuel level above half tank if you are going to pull a sustained hard right turn.
Oh, and be careful out there. Racing will get you hurt and endanger others. As you are quickly finding out here, it is not allowed to be discussed in this forum. Have fun, be safe, and watch your fuel gauge. Here is a fix for the starvation issue. http://www.the370z.com/track-autocro...round-2-a.html |

I fixed the issue this morning after adding two tanks of gas. Thanks everyone for the help.
And also, I am well aware that street racing is illegal and is dangerous. The road where this happens was the service road of hwy 360 and for those who are familiar that road is completely empty at 10 pm. I know this doesn't justify my actions any more or less but it is what it is and the challenger I was racing was a guy I knew, we weren't going through traffic or anything just taking advantage of a 1 mile straight away on the side of the road. I am sorry to hear about what happened in Houston and hopefully after this I can learn to stop driving like an idiot unless it is on a tracked designed to do so. Again, thanks for the help everyone. |
Yeah, keep the car full of gas or take right hand turns real easy.

IBTL. Fuel starvation strikes again.
|
I have had this issue in my VW GTI but the tank was near empty when it happened. I still had 1/4th left in the Z. I just got really freaked out last night.. All the research I've thought i had already done on the Z clearly wasn't enough. I never even read about this issue. Could be a pain if you're on the track I imagine.. Just glad it was something small. Mind is at ease now!
