I'm not aware of how the aftermarket industry is evolving, but how long would it take to get the not so perfected formula 1 K.E.R.S. system into road cars? Since this is the first year of use in Formula 1, Maybe in the next 5-10 years??

I'm estimating based on the time it took to get launch control from F1 cars to road cars, but who knows, maybe we'll be getting that extra juice from the press of a button on the next Z.

No doubt would a z34 with K.E.R.S. and fog light easily over rank the bmw's and benz's from its class.

(i do understand that this technology would cost thousands of dollars to to have it converted for road cars, but so did the launch control when it was first created. hopefully someone out there is already hitting the drawing boards...)

^ yes it is a different recovery system. They use a system similar to the railroads where the recovered energy goes back to the battery.
