Driver's Side Window Not Fully Closing

Has anyone had any issues with the driver's window not fully closing after closing the door?

Just a quick recap, our windows move slightly down when opening the door and move slightly up after closing the door.

Lately, I've noticed a slight wind noise on occasion and noticed that my driver's window wasn't fully closed...

Have you had your battery unplugged? I had to reset mine after it was unplugged because they left a gap open.

Uh oh! That is a very expensive problem to have! You may need to force the dealership to give you another car!

Just kidding...

Very common problem with our cars. Follow the reset procedure in your manual.

From memory I believe it is turn on ignition, fully lower both windows, then fully raise windows and hold for 5 seconds.

Or something like that.

Press the start button twice with your feet off the pedals, push the window buttons down and hold down for 5 sec, push them up all the way and hold for 5 sec then press the start to turn the car off. give it a few sec and start the car and you should be good.

You don't need to do both windows. Just the one with the issue.

Well, the switches are right next to each other and you can operate both switches with one finger, so why not do both? ;)

the car in ON position in addition to running both window motors is a lot of power consumption for the battery.

Reset your windows, hold them in downward position, engaging the "first click", not the second auto-down way, and hold for 10 seconds. Then hold all the way up, first click, for 10 seconds.

Doing this fixed my problem with the drivers window not going all the way up

And reading the Owner's Manual always helps.

This happened to me from time to time I've noticed that it will fix its self after a few days. Now that I have this info I guess I don't have to wait :)

At about 80mph or more yes my driver side window is leaking air, but it is all the way up 100% i think that the rubber material around it (the rubber that the glass is commpressed to) has dried up and redused its volume.

I had some noise at the top-rear of the right window at high speed and my favorite body shop adjusted the window to fix it. Not sure exactly what they adjusted (something inside the door) but the noise disappeared. It was under warranty and the dealer should have handled it but I like my body shop better.

Objection-Respectfully

Please rephrase the poll question. It is confusing the way it is presented.

Poll is CLOSED!

I don't see why this would need one in general.

Isolated issue in my opinion

Thank you. I was going to start a poll about how many dots the fuel gauge reads before running out of gas. Whew. You stopped me just in time. :icon17:
