My 02 WRX, gotta love an AWD with extra power! Plus it's really fun in the snow!

I would like to drive the Z during winter. I'm looking for OEM 18" rims so that I can mount Bridgestone Blizzak Tires on them. We get about 1 or 2 days of snow. During those days, I either
a. Use my dads infiniti. b. Use public transportation. I tried driving the Z on snow and got totally stuck on snow Time to start searching for 18"

Will 18" wheels fit
I notice that your car has the SPORT package and the 19" wheels. Are we sure the 18" will fit over the brakes? I don't know either and I sure wouldn't want to buy wheels and tires then find out they will not fit..............

Same tires, if the roads are bad I'll drive my FJ cruiser.

All season tires on my civic OR use my motorcycle. If I get a Z I will probably drive it in the winter as well.

even though i voted "Store the Z" thats not quite true. here in southern Indiana, as long as the weather is nice, no snow, rain, sleet, etc, and there isnt any salt/sand on the roads, i will drive the Z a little in the winter times. about once a week or so i would guess. matter of fact, i usually drive it to most of the high school basketball games i go to on friday and saturday nights in the winter. unless the above weather situations prevail, of course.
and my other DD is a 1997 Hyundai Tiburon with 130,000 miles. fingers are crossed that it lasts another 50,000 miles with no major problems. Mike Last edited by Whitey#1; 08-21-2009 at 01:43 PM. |

My very trustworthy Ford Explorer…………..since I ski every weekend at Killington, VT, I really need a SUV that can plow thru deep snow! Killington averages 250 inches/year.
