Meh, I don't know why people take things so personally. Since I have cars of both manual and automatic I get some variety. For me it really goes back to the actual trans itself rather than if it's manual or auto.
I've been Mustang 5.0 shopping, adding another car to the stable and need it like another hole in the head but that's a different story. I drove the manual and I didn't care for it. I drove the automatic and it was worse. Ford FINALLY put a manual mode in the Mustang but gave it a goofy egg shaped shifter handle with an UP and DOWN button on the side of it. The transmission wasn't really changed much if at all and it still shifts slow and sluggish in manual mode when you push the buttons. You don't get that connected feel with the car like in the Z where the shifts are nearly instant when you tap the paddle or shift handle. If Ford gets that trans right I'll buy one, until then....... |
