Question to all with lowered Z's w/ a bodykits
How have you handled or how would you handle it if the need comes up to jack or even tow your Z and difficult to squeeze a jack underneath? Lots of kits out there are low and get in the way of safe and proper towing. So I'm just curious just in case.

I'm not slammed or have a low body kit yet, but on previous car and my friends' cars we use some 2x4's to help gain some height to fit jacks underneath. I used to carry some short 2x4's with in my trunk.
As for getting your car onto a flatbed, just take the from bumper off before hand. |
For me, I can still squeeze the stock jack on the mounting point infront of the rear wheel
I have to jack it up a bit then I can slide a Hydraulic lift under to get it higher I have not had to be towed yet (thank god) but even with a flat bet, the angle, I don't see it going well and something not almost getting popped off, even if they use 2 x 4's. I look at yours and I worry...its going to depend on the tow operator and how patient he is With my previous slammed car, I had a tow operator rock the bed back and forth to almost shimmy my car onto it, thats was nice, I don't know if all tow guys would do that. |

Also Rafael, you can use a low-profile race jack that can get under the car easier JEGS Performance Products 80006 JEGS Professional 2-Ton Low-Profile Aluminum Floor Jack - Free Shipping on All Orders @ JEGS |
This jack is my hero. Don't let the price fool you. I've had it for two years and flawless. Low profile and long, so it can really get in there. But is heavy at 93lbs.

A combination of everything. My car is pretty low, not many problems other than my exhaust occasionally scraping.

My phone won't let me upload two pictures on the same post. If a mod could condense the two posts it would be nice.
Here's how i jacked up my car before i put on the wheels, it's even harder now haha. |
I got turned away from my local Nissan dealer about 2 weeks ago because my car was too low to get on their GTR lift. The only way for me to get my jack under my car is to use the jack that comes with my car to jack it up high enough to get a real car jack underneath it. As for being towed, when I had my car Upreved I had to have my car towed off the property with a flatbed which still scraped pretty bad. But I prepared for mild scraping like this back when I purchased my metal underbody liner/scrape guard

Thanks everyone! I have the jack pc covered with your ideas. I have ramps that I take with me all the time. It's the towing that worries me more than anything else. I probably need to specify and make sure it is lowered friendly on the initial call. Just need to be ready just in case.
