I wouldn't call dumping money into an na entry level sports car much of a hobby. Its more a waste of money. Is he planning to take it to the track or autocross it???

Don't know how old you are but in my experience men of a certain age are in high demand (40+). My GF will come find me in the garage staring at the Z, go back inside and bring me a fresh beer.
