There's no way he stays stock if he gets the Z. I agree he will most likely dot he CAI/HFC/CBE combo with a tune or at the very least a CBE. 325 whp isn't that easy to get though. If he goes TPs or LTHs he might get there on a cool day.

if you're still into that heavy modding scheme, chances are you should probably stay where you are until you're satisified (or worn out), maybe even consider getting a sti/evo and play with that first before getting the Z. otherwise you probably wont understand why the Z is the way it is and might not enjoy the car as much. |

FWIW I've owned a lot of cars and recently test drove several 370z and I get what you mean that it doesnt feel as fast as you would expect. It is because it has the most linear power delivery possible so you never get a surge and that lack of surge makes it feel slow. To prove the point, try to out accelerate something to give you relative speed such as passing on the highway. It is then you really can tell it has the power, its just a bit too smooth to feel powerful. This is part of why people usually love turbo's even if the ultimate power delivery is low, when they surge on boost, it feels much faster than it is.
One big thing you should notice between your Si and the Z is highway cruising. EDIT: I should add it is also a very tall geared car, especially in 2nd which is as tall as a C5 Z06 with 130 less torque. Last edited by ABQautoxer; 11-01-2013 at 05:31 PM. |

i know some people dont get that. But by doing that, every time i do get a chance to drive the Z, its like a "special" opportunity, and it keeps the car feeling new and exciting longer. IMO

I was just curious, then I learned something
After reading the op's post, I learned that the people here are very nice, much nicer than me. That's because I don't give a F if he buys a z or not. At least I learned something

I drove a Mugen Si and it was a lot of fun. The car is quick and I LOVE hitting VTEC yo! But in the end the z is way more fun because of the power, handling and speed. Which leads back to the point: Drive both and decide on your own if you have a brain and emotions you should be able to figure it out
