For FYI I have a southbend clutch and flywheel with zspeed CSC with helper spring and I'm happy... I'm also a Honda service advisor... I like civics but not as sports cars... Without way more work that our zs need.

Im at 322 whp NA and really happy, boost is in the future, but IMO Slow Z>fast civic.

I don't hate on anyone for their choice in cars (Unless it's super ricey). My friend has an SI and its a cool little car, but at the end of the day it's a Honda and it ain't no sports car. The 370Z looks 1000000 times better. It has that real sporty look to it. Yes it isn't the fastest car in the world, but you will be blown away by the looks and compliments that you get. People think my Nismo is a 60k car lol. You may have a fast Civic, but I can also SC a VW Beetle and have it blow Vettes out of the water. At the end of the day, again it's still a VW.

If you want a Sports Car, get the Z. Like Joepro said Slow Z > Fast Civic. Girls will agree. Plus its RWD.

I don't necessarily think that people here hate Civics or their drivers. I own a Civic and a 370z, and have driven a few Si's (with varying levels of modification).

And I also think that the fact that you've SC'd your Si should play a significant factor in your decision. Here's why: At 295WHP you probably are just as quick as, and perhaps even quicker than, a stock 370Z off the line... but the problem is with the inherent limitations of the Civic's chassis and drivetrain configuration. The Si is going to need quite a bit of suspension work to manage the same power as the Z; you're probably going to experience a lot of understeer and a ton of bodyroll if you try to follow the Z through turns & twisties. So really, with a SC, you're already nearing the precipice of performance & driveability in your Si; try to really push the Z, beyond just straight-line acceleration, and you'll see the difference. It's just a higher platform, performance-wise.

and once you're tired of your car, then look again for a sports car. by that time Z35's will be out as well.

these z's are better appreciated by someone that's already played with turbos and s/c's and tuning and modding and all. someone that will drive it stock and feel good and understand why the car was made this way. then do a few simple mods to make it theirs, and enjoy the car the way it is. no "convincing" is necessary.

BTW, you ever watched bionic man and woman? its amazing how fast they can run in slomo.
i dont see why it cant be comparable at this level? maybe not a better overall car but definitely comparable??

My Si is nowhere near ricey, and i still get a whole lot of attention from everyone just because its a 'Civic' and to people it makes ugly noises.. im kinda tired of that to be honest

I plan on doing that! you might think that i wouldn't agree that a civic is a civic at the end of the day even if its faster than the Z, but i do! and thats one of the major reasons why im looking for a change! if i get the Z i plan on keeping it pretty much stock, performance wise, except for maybe the nismo exhaust. drop her a bit and powder coat the rims and thats about it

I've got $10 that says you end up like the vast majority of people here, and within a year or so you've done the usual intake/cats/catback/tune combo. It's too easy to be at 325whp or so, and you can't have less power than your previous car. It's not an upgrade if it isn't more powerful.

When I purchased my 370, I kept my honda civic 04; I drive the honda so I can realize of how much of a good decision I made. The maintenance is more of course but your speaking of a sports car compared to a honda. Maintenance is not going to be where the cost comes into play, it's the upgrades. I've had mine for about a year and a half and already dropped over 5k into the car...it's a definite must, but I'd suggest to have a second beater car or something...
