It will definately get you attention but does not guarantee that it will land you girls just like that. Like another user noted, YOU have to make your own move too.

Many people will tell you that the paint is horrible. It swirls easy; it seems like it is very thin. On my black Z the paint seem pretty good, however, I dont DD my Z and it is kept in the garage. On top of that I take very good care of it washing it often and waxing it. I spend a lot of time detailing my Z, especially since it is black.

As far as maintenance goes, I could not tell you. Again, I use my Z as a weekend car so I have limited info on this. Tires depending on brand and or quality can be around 800-1400$ for a set of 4 I believe. Oil changes, about 70-90$ if done at the dealership (probably much cheaper if you DIY). Gas, on average I do about 14-16 mostly city, 16-19 city/highway, and 22-24 straight highway.

anyways, good luck!

I have both and daily both cars here and there. I love Honda and like civic SI’s. If build correctly they are fun and cheap. When I mean cheap I’m talking about CHEAP GAS, TIRES, PARTS, OIL. The Z is a man’s car. Power, handling, style, aggressiveness is what you get with the Z. Down shift you’re out! It’s wide and mean and gets plenty of looks. If you love cars and can afford it you can’t go wrong with this 2 seater.

If you set the mirrors correctly, it should eliminate any blind spots. The only "blindspot" is that heart stopping moment when you back out of a parking space into traffic. Those windows are utterly useless.

Your info doesn't say what kind of climate you live in. But if the weather includes ice and snow in the winter, explore the possibility of keeping the Honda for a winter car. The Z is unsafe in bad weather and will take not the harshness winter (salt and cinders) well (paint chips, etc.). There are numerous threads and a million posts and some differing opinions on this issue. But I urge you----keep the winter weather in mind if the Z is to be your DD. Also do the CarFax and see if you can get the identity of the previous owner to try to contact him and talk to him about the car. If the car's a good one, the dealership will welcome it, as an incentive to closing the deal. If they refuse, they could be trying to conceal something. Just the thoughts I would express to one asking my advice. Good luck. Z's a great car.

Define unsafe. I was under the impression it was ok with appropriate tires. Not that I would consider it, I just thought "unsafe" might be a bit over the top. I agree with the rest. Keep a winter beater just because of salt and grime.

It needs sandbags in addition to winter tires

Ole 53/47 doesn't do you much good in the winter either.

People managed for years in the winter before every car on the road became FWD/AWD.

Now if you're on the stock tires, I'd agree with "unsafe" wholeheartedly.

Sure, but they stuck sandbags in the back just like I recommended on the Z.
