The one I test drove was the owner of the dealers's sons personal demo car and it had 5k miles on it already. I beat that dog. I don't think I was the first person to find the rev limiter on it.

weird thing is the car was advertised at 17.5K miles, when I went to test drive it, it had 19.5K miles.. dealer claimed that it was the "demo" car for the owner's son.. guess that's something that dealers use to cover their BS! oh that was another thing that made me think twice before purchasing.. it was somewhat sketchy

19.5K at $25K is still worth it, that would not concern me.
Like jaedub said, these cars are rock solid.
Just be smart about it. Use logic not emotion, it will get you more in the end.

Yeah, that's still low mileage to me.

The mileage is fine, but the $25K is not OTD, that's what im thinking about offering the dealer, hopefully he accepts the offer and gives me a good trade-in value, then its a done deal!

If not, there's plenty of great Zs for sale here.

LMAO. Couldn't have said it better myself Chuck.

@ OP, you will have to start living in the 4000+ RPM world. That is why the fuel is more expensive. However if you learn the intricacies of the OEM clutch, you can definitely get 22+ MPG.

Owning a 370z is a little bit like being married to a stripper. She tells you she loves you, and you believe her. Why? Because you want to, and because your mom likes her for some reason, and because other bitches are jealous, and because your car is faster, and just because. You don't need to understand anymore than that.

Does the SI do that?

No...it doesn't.

Not sure if it helps, but I had a number of options for a fun street car. I had on the short list a mustang, Camero SS, used corvette, and any number of cars with better statistics than the 370Z. I'd not own any of them except as a second car to the Z (I think they are all worth owning, by the way). I think the Z accelerates just fine, it just isn't as dramatic about it as some of the other options out there. I think it is more fun to drive than most of the V-8s out there, especially in something other than a straight line (even though the lateral accel on some are on a par with the Z).

I turned away from a bunch of other viable options that were more expensive and bought the Z because of the driving pleasure. Zero regrets. Bought a second one as a matter of fact just two weeks ago.

As it appears from my name I currently drive a 2007 Honda civic Si coupe, and im thinking its time to change things up since I've had the car for about two years! Im just having difficulties to accept the fact that if I do purchase the Z, maintenance will definitely go up, and gas of course.. what do you guys think? has anybody else made this switch before? any help would be appreciated
if the price of the Z is within your range.. go for it..!!!

regarding your concern about maintenance & gas, you will be surprised by how low does the Z costs.

Go for it... it is an absolute enjoyment.....!!!!

VTEC kicks in at least couple times a day very used to driving in the high RPM range.. however i can still average about 24 mpg driving like that, when im pretty sure with the Z i'll prob be averaging 15 mpg

i have never looked closely into a 370Z before so im not familiar with how good the paint is.. my current Si is a nhbp (black) and although i like black on a sports car, the Honda paint is very cheap and easy to scratch and fade off, i hope the Z isn't like that since the one that im considering is the magnetic black..

Do your research before you buy - the Z has a great history and the 370z is no exception

Test drive and compare with other cars

IMO, maintenance is not bad on Nissans. They are very reliable.
