Nissan execs diss FRS/BRZ
Nissan exec Andy Palmer derides Toyobaru coupes as 'midlife crisis' cars - Autoblog
This is a hysterical article....:roflpuke2: |
he's obviously trolling to drum up interest before the tokyo motor show, but still funny.
|
Nissan better have something better then.
|
Silvia would be nice.
|
If the BRZ/FRS is the new midlife crisis car, the economy really has beaten us up. It used to be a Vette or Viper. :rofl2:
|
Be hilarious if they pulled out a FWD altima coupe. :rofl2:

If I'm looking for a midlife crisis car, I'll buy a used C6 for the same price as a new BRZ.

The FRS/BRZ is either a slow car that's fun to drive fast, or an entry-level rwd for kids graduating from their Tcs. It's a rwd civic Si, not a midlife crisis car. I like them, I'm just not caught up in the hype. My GF is buying one early next year. It's the perfect "starter sports car".

yah..
Toyota was also blaming subaru for the high manufacturing cost of the drivetrain or something... If the frs/brz was $20k, it probably would not have been a midlife crisis car? More a 20 something car. |
Why offer a detuned version of the vq37? That seems a little backwards. Even if they drop significant weight, idk why they would put the vq37 in it and make less hp out of it...
Obviously that part of the article is a rumor, so ill take it with a grain of salt lol. |
