I watched a video of a Crawford built BRZ. It is sick, but it sounds terrible. Thumbs up for VQ turbo sound.
yah, i dont think anyone's arguing about the compact package (other than taffyapples, but they can go drive big cars they fit in).

the issue is that the tomica cars do not come with a compact price to match.

That's true... double yew tee eff. Remember the 350Z complaint was the interior for under 30k? The FRS/BRZ for about under $30k OTD is definitely a bit pricey for what it offers - more than a used 370Z among others.

I wanted a Civic Si sedan for a daily, but it stickered at $23k.

i cant say i agree with this... many people over inflate their ego to justify what they buy... many are also brand ignorant.

I could say most mustang owners are fine... but I own a mustang so of course I will face less flack. its just perspective.

EDIT: go to a mustang forum (or any other competitions for that matter) and ask em how they feel about 370 guys...

First... if you pay MSRP for a car... your an idiot...

Second... 29k? might want to do some homework. (i swear the price keeps going up and up as this thread continues)

Third... you could make a 10 sec suburban with the "right" money... congrats? Will it be reliable for whatever this amount is? Will you have the right support mods or do you just wanna dump some giggle gas into it and blow your engine/tranny/diff?

I priced out a coilover suspension for a brz... 800 bux and its still a rather new platform. Anyone wanna know the price difference between a set of track tires for the BRZ vs your 370z? How bout pads?

Its a good platform... a sharp one at that.

EDIT: tires are also proportional to weight and power... so think about that.

Agreed, it gets a lot of hate. I don't really understand. It's proof the auto industry is moving back in the "fun to drive" direction. Now other manufacturers will bring their light rwd vehicles to market. It's a win for enthusiasts.

I think it's a great car, just slow and a bit over priced. But form everything I've read, it's supposed to handle great and is lots of fun. Boost and bigger wheels would make it a great little car. It's no Z, though, and with the recent Z price drop, it's not much cheaper.

I can definitely agree with this in concept. Just having another sports car on the set helps the market.

Exactly. It seems like people are either too young to remember or have already forgotten the years after they killed the Supra/300ZX/3000GT/RX7 where your only option for a sporty car was either a Vette/Mustang/Camaro or something fwd.

More options for buyers drives competition, and competition gives us more choices.

It was a BRZ for $29 not an FRS. Never said it would be reliable either. Try tinkering with that little 2.0 that **** box has, need some work on the internals to make power, with questionable reliability. And who the f*ck cares about ANY of this sh*t???! My point was out of the box for $29 is a major rip off for this car. Praise the chassis all you want, ive said it before...a FUN handling car is not necessarily a well handling car. Big difference. Whats so "sharp" about the platform? That it gives you confidence to step the tail out at 15mph? If those itty bitty tires were any smaller Id expect to see a friggin horse and carriage pulling that "sharp" platform. Its expensive, the interior is hideous, its gutless in any gear at any RPM, it has no grip whatsover and its so overpriced i find it hard to believe all the dbags who actually bought this marketing ploy.

You're really emotionally invested in hating this car. Show us on the doll where the BRZ touched you.
