Eh, you are a true car enthusiast, something most people are not.
It would be nice to see the twins (or one of the 2) last and become a true icon car. Especially if a used one with decent miles and good condition can be found for 15k or less, super cheap entry and plenty of aftermarket support already (both good & bad).

eh... once you realize douches drive everything... you wont let that spoil an otherwise cool car...

From my side, I'm not hating... My test drive was just uninspiring. Im able to rent corvrttes for a weekend. Get back in my Z and feel inspired to drive it in spite of the 100hp deficit. From a subie to a Z, the toyobaru is a snoozer to drive unless you will do 100% street driving @ high revs and never pass 70mph.

The platform is generally very good. But as Kenchan said. The car is overpriced. The price holds it's criticism. When 2011 hit on the Z. The Z wasn't worth ifs msrp either. But smart shoppers were knocking $3000 off the price. Toyobaru is not negotiating. Lol. Not worth it.

agreed. its been said over and over, but if this car was cheaper, id totally consider it. but at 25-29k it is not worth it, at all with the current power woes

I will say a widebody BRZ/FRS is a beautiful thing (think rocket Bunny)

Back to the article though, I really hope Nissan comes out with something impressive. Not that I'm looking to sell, trade etc, but I just love seeing Nissan occupy this space.

So many car makers have left it behind. They did well in the past with the Silvia, The Z...I'm more of a Z fanboy than a Nissan fanboy but again, be nice if Nissan can represent more than just economy

U mean 2003 for 350.
But people can do what they want with their cars , u shouldn't hate the car per say . I've never had a real drive in the twins but can respect them and the companies for bringing back a some what affordable rear wheel drive coupe. I give kudos to genesis coupe for maybe getting the Asian companies to get back into that market.
Hopefully Nissan will get it right.

true, but there are considerably more douchebags driving FRS/BRZs, mustangs(V6 with the occasional GT), and hondas out there than any other car

everytime i talk to a FRS/BRZs, mustang(V6 with the occasional GT), and honda owner, it usually turns into, your 370z doesnt respond well to mods and its slower than their car or some **** like that

i think its a great little platform... small light and rwd. Hell people are already swaping LSx motors into them. (where dont those things fit)

All this...moot. I could make a 10 second Suburban with the right money. They want $29K OTD for this POS. I saw one driving to work this morning...its so funny looking, putzing along on those bicycle tires. pathetic automobile.

Yes, 2003, my brain was flat dead yesterday and I was just going backwards and 06 sounded decent.

I think Subota sounds much better than Toyotabu or whatever it is. Flows off the tongue better.

I've been seeing more FRS/BRZs on the road. One thing I really like about it is the compact package. It is plenty roomy and suited for its purpose. I'd love to have a Z of those dimensions, light weight, and running a VQ25DET.

I watched a video of a Crawford built BRZ. It is sick, but it sounds terrible. Thumbs up for VQ turbo sound.
