front license plate..

hey everyone, when i bought my z month back it did not come with front license bracket so i left it alone as is and i intend not to put one. it requires in my state to have one in front, just curious how many of you don't have it in front and have you got stopped for it and what kind of excuses you come up with it??

...and by the way i won't leave it on my dash either..:icon17:

I leave mine behind the passenger seat. Haven't been pulled over yet. But I do throw it on the dash if I think I'm at risk of being pulled over.

I'm in your boat and have not had a front plate for years (20+?). I've never been hassled either.

which topic has been discussed more?

Do you put on the front plate or not, which oil is best, or manual vs auto? :icon17:

Just ignore it shawnski. It is typical for older members of any forum to complain about what has been talked about already. Some of us are new here and don't mind discussing threads or learning about things through reposts.

Now to chime in on the subject. I would just put it on. I am not so concerned with the nose being perfect and all. I would rather avoid any unnecessary contact with police officers as you never know when you are going to run into an officer who is having a bad day and is ready to pick on someone who has a beautiful car. Just my thoughts. They can take a lot of money out of your pocket, considering having to go downtown to deal with court and missing time at work. Just not worth it IMO.

I do not run a front plate on my Z's and have not on any of my Z's in the last 30 years. Now that I am posting this, I am going to get pulled over. That's the way my life works.

I know a lot of people don't want to pay for a plate mount but it is a good solution if you don't want to drill your bumper.

STILLEN No Drill License Plate Relocator
STILLEN No Drill License Plate Relocator 105465 | STILLEN

Had mine since July. no problems with install or removal. Personally, I don't want to give the nice law enforcement people any extra reason to notice me.:driving:

6MT-Z34 10-28-2013 05:22 PM

There's another one besides the stillen one, I have it and it gives you many "mounting" positions I can't remember the name of the brand but when I get home I'll let you know
