390Z to have a 4Cly Optional?

Hey all don't know if this is a repost but i did search.
What do you guys think about the 4 cyl turbo option on a "390Z"

I would never buy a Z with a 4 banger. Just not what i think a Z is.

If it was a 4 cyl, it wouldn't be called a 390Z for starters. The # matches the displacement of the engine. So it would more likely be called a 240Z or 200Z. I'd prefer to see a turbo charged 6 cyl 390Z with an addition to the family that was a 240sx. Nissan needs the Sylvia in it's lineup especially with how popular the BRZ and FRS are IMO.

Maybe Nissan wants to follow Lexus style...390z does not mean a 3.9L 4 or 6 cylinders engine...it means aHybrid using maybe a 2.5L turbo charged engine + a electric motor...like Lexus LS600h,it is not a 6 L engine,but a regular 4.6V8+ electric motor.

seeing as they have it filed under their "rumors" section i kinda doubt it at this point, but i have also been hearing for a long time now that they will be offering a 2.5L turbo in the next Z so i guess we'll just have to wait a couple of weeks and see.

Regardless of overall balance, performance value, and tuning potential, I'll pass on the next Z if it turns out to have a 4 cylinder.

If the Z gets multiple engines? I'm sure there will be no number designation. It will probably just be called "The Z Coupe".

dont care if its a 4cyl or 6 as long as its turbocharged and faster than the current stock 370z

im not sure about faster. the car's supposedly going to handle better and be more eco-friendly.

Yeah, I think Nissan is going for handlling while maintaining the current performance... That's fine to me as long they give us an engine that's cheap and easy to mod... Ie FI.
