Thumbs up The little things

There's been a lot said about the overheating issue (which, since a couple of weeks, seems to be a none issue…), also enough said about paint defect, bad dealerships & service etc.. that we've lost track on how good of an automobile this car really is!

This thread is dedicated for 370 owners that discovered "the little things" that haven't been advertised and that is making this car so cool & enjoyable!

I had mine for 2 weeks, but this is what comes to mind:
- Taking a tight curve at 55m that I used to take at 40;
- Being able to show my beautiful Z rear end at the Mustang community (between 2 lights);
- Torque is always available (even if not in proper gear…);
- All the “thumbs up” I get!!!

Any other “little things” that we could share?

I've noticed the same bulliten points you've made, although living in LA with so many fancy, sporty cars driving around nobody really notices too much with one exception. I look like a cross between Fred Flintstone and the fat guy from Lost, so I get a lot of wtf looks from people when they see me walk up to or get out of the car.

I've had my 370z for about a month and I've been having a blast driving it around. And with the exception of having to replace a tire due to a nail, have had no problems with the Z so far.

I've noticed I get a lot of smiles and waves from women. If I didn't have a chick already, I'd be getting more ass than a toilet seat.

Someone on this forum once said every drive feels like a mini vacation. That's exactly how it feels to me.
It's one of few in this area, at least for now.
The leather seats do not make you sweat and keep your a$$ planted in one place.
The doors, hood and trunk are light and easy to open. If you are uphill, open the door and try to get something passenger seat, the door is less likely to smack you or your leg, and even if it does it won't break your leg like on most other cars.
Those rear tires with sport package have a lot of traction.
I can flip the personality at will between comfortable, well equiped GT into a... well, a racing hen

Ditto, except having a chick already doesn't stop me for a bit.

When I go to a restaurant I park where I can look at the car. Even after months of ownership, I still think it looks great out there (although it seems to attract old Hondas which park around it, kinda like flypaper for them...)

I've got a 22 mile commute, one way...and thats the short way. If I go round-a-bouts, I'm sure I can tack on another 5-10 miles

Lol... don't own it yet. But took 3 test drives n decided to wait for the 40th ann. Model but I told me wife while we were on the test drives. This car. Really makes u feel free.
Its truly something special. Having owned a 5 sports cars. 3 of them imports.
This one was special. Its truly a joy to drive.
And in my opinion. The 370z is a car that turned the tables. BMW HAS TO BENCHMARK THIS CAR NOW.

I picked my car up yesterday, after waiting for it since late May (I ordered mine). Drove it to work, feels amazing to drive. Anyway at lunchtime I drove it to a chinese place at a shopping center and parked it and went into the restaurant to get some take out. About 10 minutes later I walked out and there were 7 people standing around my car and talking. Does anything else have to be said?

Good points, one and all. I can't disagree. I do have one problem though. Now I don't live where there are any "car-jackings", so this issue really doesn't "alarm" me.

I've found that I get "tail-gated" a lot. Not really sure what it is. But everytime I drive the 370, people get really close to me at stop lights and while driving. While driving this is easily cured.... accelerator pedal. The stop light thing kind of bothers me. People have gotten within inches of the rear of the car (?). Can't expalin why.
