oil cooler trade off,is this a good deal??
when i purchased my 370 part of the deal was dealer installing nismo oil cooler, well after 2 weeks oil cooler is on backorder,i've been driving the car in 110' + temps here in lhc az.with no oil temp problems ,so i call my salesman and ask them to put on a stillen gen 3 intake.they will do it as cost/labor between the two is similar, no charge to me.talk about coustomer service,so far liking my dealership.:tiphat:

Umm - If you drive your car HARD - you will see temps spike - otherwise there is no real issue. LOL sometimes I think the biggest mistake nissan made w/ the car was putting an OIL temp guage in it hahaa

Ok something constructive here..... I'd go for the intake and have fun. You can always have an oil cooler installed later if you find out that you really need it. So if you find that your oil temp consistently runs a little hot and you don't have problems with limp mode then I'd simply change it more often to keep the protection level up. I have no plans to install a cooler unless I really have to. Just my 2c.

I have not had any oil temp problems and weve hit 100+ temps here in Texas. Im may have to take a long trip and monitor before the temps get cooler. May I ask how much were they letting you have it and cost of labor? |

Now, OP, do you remember how much they initially charged you for oil cooler install and labor? If I recall correctly, oil cooler is about $780 + 4 hours of labor where intake is +/- $450 + 2 hours of labor(?). I am just curious. |

I do have to say that for a forum moderator deally, that's out of the ordinary - most of the time, mods just ban people rather than deal with the headache. |
I would just wait for the oil cooler, from what I know the intakes are an easier install and you could probably DIY later.
