No point raising your premium trying to get insurance to pay. Also you mentioned the bumper was basically fine, but exhaust and clutch, might not be. Pay a reputable mechanic to inspect any damage if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself. Also people have already chimed about the hazard of being on the phone.
