370Z Cold Weather

Just took delivery of my new Z yesterday, and today at work I was looking through the owners manual. I was surprised to see that the manual states that during cold weather driving, you should let your car idle for atleast 2-3 minutes before shutting it off. Does anyone know the reason why? I know this is very important in turbocharged cars, as it allows the turbo to spool down and cool off, however, why with the Z??

I believe it stated that you should let your Z idle for 30 seconds, and then wait for the engine to warm up before driving crazy.....

So I guess my bouncing off the rev limiter during a burnout yesterday about 15 seconds after starting my car...was probably not a good thing....
