u again with your weird threads!
maybe some minor wear on syncro's but shouldn't hurt it. i usually dont skip gears unless it's for a downshift say 6 to 4.. but i clutch-out once in neutral and then enter the next gate (6-N-4).

is it necessary? no. just an old habit of mine.

I once was called a perfectionist, because I made sure I went in sequence.

However, I've been trying to teach myself to go 5-3 when coming to a right-hand turn (at a light). Obviously slowing down a bit more.

It just feels so... naughty?... to do it that way. Must fulfill OCD.

try 5-2 through underpass. but make sure you dont mechanically over rev cause it will kill your engine.

Also, sometimes I forget and think there's a 7th gear, and shift into 5th.

Oops! I think it's my old age and forgetting that I'm already in 6th, 'cause I'm day dreaming on the freeway.

That just hurts thinking about it! Though, I bet it would sound nice.

And yeah, I'm not in the business of detonating an engine. I'm sure I've accidentally made that mistake or one like it before when I had my SRT.
