The car drives and runs perfect and I don't use the srm so that doesn't concern me as much as how annoying the indicator not working is.

I would assume so. That's how I read "went smoothly". If it didn't go smoothly he'd still have the problem, right?

It's not running perfect if the SRM doesn't work. Something electronic got fried when you attempted to flash the car.

At this point you either need to call Uprev back and figure out what went wrong in the flashing process or drop the car off at the dealer.

If it worked before the flash and doesn't now, we've found the cause unless some sensor got toasted when you messed with the harness. Hopefully it can be solved without going to the dealer and bending over.

Yeah, I keep thinking that if I go to the dealer and just have them reprogram the ecu it might just go back to normal. Just a thought, what do you think?

That only works if the flash was the cause, not putting the paperclip in the harness. I'd start by talking to Uprev and explaining the entire situation.

The indicator was blinking before I got that other situation fixed, even before I tried connecting the switch with the paperclip. Can't say the same for srm though, ill see what uprev says.

Honestly, don't touch anything! You are going to screw yourself bad if you mess with anything. That means that if it was tampered with Nissan is going to turn you away.
Leave it as is, bring it in. If they turn you away or want you to pay for the work, then troubleshoot it yourself. Last thing is for you to mess something up, then bring it in....then after that we see a thread by you saying how shotty your dealer was. Troubleshooting it yourself should be the last resort if you are within warranty. |
