It could not be avoided trust me plus it became more of a game too! if you have had a loud exhaust you know exactly what I am talking about... How many alarms can you set off in a parking deck hehehehehe

For example, I play drums semi-professionally. I practice on my own at my house when I'm up to it - and I don't play past 9PM. Noise ordinance only applies to amplified music...and it's a case of "if you're loud enough to cause a complaint, you're too loud" for my city. Technically, since my drums are not amplified, I could play at 2AM with the windows open and be a real asshat. There's even been times (recording/testing), that I'd really like to...but, I don't. Same with my bike. The exhaust is loud even at idle, but I make sure I don't run it any longer than I have to, and sure as hell don't rev it outside of 9AM - 9PM. |

My complaints came from 7am in the morning when I left for work and 6-9pm when I come home. I coasted through the complex late at night. I wasnt a total jerk...

It wasn't setting them off from coasting guys lol that would have been rediculous... It's not so much that the car is loud but the fact that the exhaust tone has a low frequency vibration that sets off shock sensors

Most places do have noise ordances, however, cops will usually only resort to pulling you over if it is overly loud and disturbing, or will use it as a way to initate the stop (usually if they think it will lead to a drug bust, etc...)

After the whole incident with my arrest I came to find out the cop was a special task force for gang and drug busts... I stood no chance he arrested me on the spot and I wasnt told why I was arrested till after I was booked in jail... that s*t was f'd up. I got everything dropped but I still had to go through all the pains and lawyer fees to fix the problem. Nothing against individual cops but I hate the bastards here in GA we dont play well with each other.

The logic here is absolute crap. So what if you can't hear sirens? Newsflash -- people who are deaf are allowed to drive. My brother happens to be totally deaf in both ears, and he has a driver's license, his own car, etc. What a total crock. I would love for a cop to give me a ticket based on this logic. I'd tear him a new one in open court.

Around here they call it "pollution sonore" which translates directly to "sound pollution." It generally encompasses revving your engine, having very loud bass in your car and loud tailpipes. The U.S. equivalent would probably be "distrubing the peace."

I live 10 minutes from work and I leave at 7am and return home depending on the day at 6pm or as late as 9pm. I think that hardly counts as part time lol I get there before my employees and I dont leave till they are all gone. Dang programmers will work all night if they could...

No one. I just get a little worked up when I read about police harassment. Or at least what I subjectively perceive to be harassment.
