Default Goodbye All

Well, after 2 months of ownership I decided today to go back to the Vette.

I really feel the Z is a great value and a very shrp car, but dynamically it just doesn't have the "oomph" of a Vette or a Porsche.

I got out pretty unscathed financially so I'm happy.

Got a great deal on an '09 Vette (black/black, Coupe, Z51, Glass Roof, 4lt, NAV, etc...).

Take care.

I looked at a brand new 2008 C6 while shopping for the Z, while it has the performance numbers I just couldn't handle the interior, or the condensation in both headlights. I loved the color though, JSB.

Good luck and enjoy the new, new car!

Traded mine in because I couldn't stand the interior, but I respect that different people are looking for different things out of cars.

I've thought about the Corvette for a long time, but i just think i like the 370Z better. Corvettes are everywhere, but i dont hardly ever see a 350Z, let a lone a 370Z. i like the fact that i'll have a car that nobody else really has.

Can you give some more details on the financial aspect, I am interested how well the 370z held after only a few months off the showroom.

Thanks

Nick

I and a couple other folks were just talking about this at a car show last week. We all arrived at independent conclusions that the Vette just looks "tired". Yes there may be some new colors and interior changes but......its almost as if GM has a cookie-cutter "design" formula for the Vette and they are very comfortable with repeating it year after year after year.....

We also came to the conclusion that the Ford Mustang is entering down this same "tired" design road as well.

They were supposed to have a change for (going off old memory) 2010-ish, but I read something that they will squeeze a few more years out of the current design due to the economy.

Good luck with your new ride....I just hope that...

1) the door has no paint defects
2) the splash guards don't have a gap
3) the body panels are not misaligned
4) the dealership knows how to lift the car
5) the tail pipes are centered in the cutouts
6) the wheels don't have a scuff mark..

I kid

That's because GM has this habit of never wanting to pay for the retooling of their plants when a design change has been proposed. This is business as usual for GM.

Great choice. Can't go wrong with an '08+ C6.

One question, though...any reason you went with a fully-loaded Z51 instead of a 1LZ Z06 for not much more?
