Still waiting on my Z I ordered in early July. Have not had a ticket since 1992, but got one at the end of July going 67 in a 50 in my G35. Can't believe I got one just before getting the Z.

We do a lot of crazy things.
Plus we have cops that enjoy the chase, like have modified Dodge Chargers.

Got pulled over on 71 in Ohio outside of Cinci doing 148 (that's what he clocked me at anyways). Got lucky the guy that pulled me over was a fellow Corporal of mine that just got out of my unit 3 months prior. Gets to the window goes "why you driving this instead of your supra?"... someone up there is lookin out for me

I got pulled last year for doing 95 in a 55 on the interstate at 3 a.m., officer pulls me over and all I said was "I am on call my patient is dying", he let me off, even though my patient wasn't dying right at the moment I was called in for something else.

In CA you can fight the ticket through the mail. Cop doesn't get paid overtime to fill out response paperwork. He doesn't get to see you in court to remind him of anything you may have said or done. If he doesnt' respond, case dismissed. If he does respond and you lose you can still go to court and fight it and hope he doesn't appear. If he doesn't case dismissed.

I've helped a couple of friends get out of tickets this way.

I learned all about how to fight traffic tickets in court when I successfully beat a red light photo ticket. I haven't had a ticket on my record in over 12 years.

Well I've been over the legal limit, but no speeding tickets, and I have not been pulled over. My last speeding ticket was in 1994 on my CBR 600 in New Mexico, on I25, I was clocked by airplane at 125, and pulled over by the state police. They weren't happy, but since I was in the military they let me go with a court appearance, and that is a whole other story!

i bit the bullet and installed the front license plate just so i wouldnt have to worry about it... true, there are plenty of cops up and down eldorado and the neighboring streets. i never speed in town... i was in Ft. Worth on Friday for work and got busted on the access road where north loop 820 and I35 meet.

it was a long, banked curve with nobody on it... great to open up the throttle on.. but the cop jumped out from behind a tree and got me.

BTW, needforZ - are you in a PG Z? i think i saw you at eldorado and ridge a few weeks ago.

I've had my Z since Feb. Here's the tix I've gotten so far:
95 in a 55
78 in a 65
53 in a 40
I also got pulled over once for not having the front plate on. Needless to say, my attorney loves me since I'm helping put his kids through college....

The Z (any color) probably guarantees that if you get pulled over you WILL get a ticket of some sort. So I've driven this car the slowest of our last half-dozen cars, and so far ... knock wood ...

Let me amend that. We always drive with radar detectors. Always. And within 50 miles of our home we know the roads pretty well. So we only speed up in places we know they can't possibly be hiding. Then we just have to look out for unmarked Crown Vics (either white or black).

Err ... let me amend that again. The first blip you get on a radar detector, unless you're getting a false alarm from a mall or a road construction sign, you put the brakes down NOW. I'm pretty sure I've been in the "kill zone" a few times, but because of aggressive braking, they haven't had a radar result they can use.

And i thought my one ticket was bad...

87 in a 55.
About 2 weeks after I got it.
Ended up getting a PBJ due to a clean record.

Is it just me? Or do u find cops to be not as uptight about sports cars and bright colors here in DFW as it seems in other places? I wasn't bothered at all when I had the G35.
To me it just feels like they indiscriminantly hand out tickets here imo?
But it also feels like writing tickets is the only thing cops are really trying to do. Lol
I always see people pulled over in all kinds of cars.

Oh yeah... 50% of the battle is using your eyes. I do the same exact thing u do on the road.

I moved here to TX from NY 3 years ago. One thing about the east coast is cops pull over anything, everyday, all day, in every way. And if u have a sports car? You are double screwed. It doesn't matter if its an old sports car or new. Bright dull or crashed. And if u r the wrong skin color? They throw in a BONUS illegal search. Lol and they say racism is a southern problem. Lol. I think its 3x worse up north.
