Ok wow She aint Payin Please I need Advice ZTEAM ASSEMBLEEEEEE

Ok so I gave her until Tmr to pay me the money and now she says she cant have the money tmr. So I need a list of options I have. After recollecting my thoughts these are the conclusions i came up with.

1. Go through insurance and make them pay for everything including the rear quarter panel.
2. Now if i do that im gonna need to get the police report and then set up a claim through insurance.
3. Am I allowed to just give my car to the body shop and tell them to handle fixing everything and talking to the insurance company about costs?
4. I need your advice and some wisdom on how to go about doing this

I need to know whats allowed whats not, what i have as options and possibly whatever else you have on your mind that might help will also be of great help.

This is my first car and i guess first real world problem im facing, i really dont want to rely on my parents to do this for me. z team...please help me.

oh and andrew. i love you

Law enforcement should have been called to the scene at the time of the crash to avoid cases such as this. Since it's after the fact, they might simply hand you a driver's report of a crash that you fill out yourself, alongside an assigned reference/case number. At least, that's how it's handled in Florida. The filled form is to be sent to the DMV alongside insurance to get the ball rolling.

Not sure exactly what's going on but if you had a wreck and the other person was at fault, their insurance should cover your repairs. Otherwise you will have to make a claim on your comprehensive/uninsured motorist policy.

If the other party's insurance is paying for it, there may be certain procedures to follow. Find out who the other driver is insured with and call their insurance company for details. Your insurance agent may be able to help you out if you run into problems.
If your insurance is paying for it, they will probably allow you to take it to your choice of body shop. It may make things easier if you use one of their "preferred" shops - the body shop and your insurer will work out most of the details. Call your insurance agent for more info.

In other words, we can't do much for you other than make very general suggestions. Contact the insurance company(s) that are involved.

Edit: Getting the police report is just a matter of asking for it. Contact the PD that handled the report.

Yeah, call her and tell her you're filing a police report and that you're calling her insurance, do it NOW.

And didn't you get a number/business card of a police officer that was at the scene?

Minsu 09-20-2013 10:45 PM

Yea i got her insurance information her drivers license the cop who saw the accident happen, everything i need basically. my question is the quarter panel was my fault but since insurance is getting involved can i just get them to fix everything>?
