G37 engine and 370z engine

Couple of Q's, since I'm new to the Nissan family... AFAIK , the G37 and the 370z have the same engine. Maybe different ECU or something long those lines, but,

AFAIK, the G37 and the 370z have the same engine. Maybe different ECU or something long those lines, but, the engine is the same AFAIK... Has the G37 been out longer than the 370z? As in, with two people on this forum having mass-oil burn issues (one needing an engine replacement, the other???) - are G37 owners having the same issue? How "tested" is this engine?
