Default Parking lot drifting

so me and my friend went to ross to buy some clothes and i didnt want to park my car under the sun so i went to the underground parking lot.as i was making a left turn my car starts to drifts a little. has this happened to anyone else? i was surprised a little but then im like let me give it another try so at the next corner i hit the gas a little bit more and IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL the car was drifting at 5mph lol but it was still fun. it was like one of those drift videos but in slow motion. the parking lot floor was really shiny. i dont know what its covered with but what ever it is i wouldnt mind having a drift track build out of it.

can anyone tell me why the car drifts on this particular parking lot. the lot is not new its just that what ever its covered with is making the car slide. i wanna know what it is

by the way the parking lot was empty and i was doing only 5mph so there is nothing illegal about that

The Z's traction (like any car) is dependent on the road surface. Some parking lots have a rubbery coating that gets slick when moist. Indoor lots sometimes have a layer of dust that will make things more slick as well. Finally, cold tires are much more slippery than warm tires which also may have played a role.

nothing wrong with an occasional parking lot drift, I am guilty of doing it from time to time... As long as you aren't pulling a tokyo drift - no harm no foul.

seems like teh grip got turned down bc the sun was shinin right on the surface n that kinda makes the essential oils in the asplahlt kind of seep up so it makes the surface slick. thas proly why you slid a bit. if u see in nascar races they spray coke on the pit stalls cuz when it dries it gets sticky n helps em grip, bc the sun makes the surface seep essential oils which are the slickest oils u can slip on.

I do it all the time when there aren't cars around. I for one don't see anything wrong with testing the car out in a safe environment

Lol M4A1 that was so annoying to read.

concrete sealer/primer? I coated my old garage with the rustoleum stuff (had sprinkles too!) and it was fairly slick, but shiny.

I have a friend that messed up an 88SS body by doing that.... nailed a curb hard sideways.

Sounds like its just polished concrete. Super slick esp if there is dust/pollen/water, etc on it.

or take your mom's FWD out with some trays ....

The previous owner of the house used a sealer/primer in the garage. Shortly after buying my bike I laid it down when my foot slipped. Dropping a brand new Harley Night Rod Special.....Fuuuuuuuuuu

Anyways parking garage drifting is cool until you end up like this guy:

thnx bro but i dont think much can happen at 5mph. i mean the car just slides even if you just turn your wheel to the left or right.
