I like that MT video, very detailed. One thing I did not notice the first time I saw it was the checked the doors/fenders with the magnet. Hmmmm...

They are saying it's going to be aluminum or some other material. I just want a good crash test rating (side impact). Last thing we need is a awesome fast car with some plastic doors and 2 star side impact crash rating :ugh2:

Yeah, I don't think they're going to sell a Lotus Elise..

With all these crazy drivers out there, I'd want a safer car. I am not totally sure what they are using for the doors, but it better give us a good side impact rating.

Doesn't the Z33 hold one of the highest crash test ratings for side impact? I don't think Nissan is going to drop the ball on this one either. The best thing about the Z34 is that it's small enough and probably has the handling to help avoid an accident in the first place.

:icon17: True. Nissan have been pretty good so far. 350Z crash rating was really good and I'm pretty sure the new one should be no different.

Yeah, 'cause it doesn't matter what you're using for the doors but what's inside the doors. Side protection bars, I mean. LIGHT protection bars!

That is true. It's what inside that counts.

However, I guess they've used the same light material for the roof and (don't know the english word) the "trunk door" to achieve the goal of 100kg of weight loss.
When I had the 350Z I never changed the seats, but I think that this time I'll change them with lighter ones, to improve the fat loss!
