Well the problem has seemingly vanished now, so I dont know wether to wait until my next sevice and oil change (1000 miles) or take it in this week.

If they can't duplicate it, they can't fix it. I'd just document it and discuss at next visit.

Maybe its because you are use to driving a RHD? ;P

Sounds electronic to me.... watch for it when it gets wet/humid again....

This is the closest thing i could find doing a search for something that just happend to me. Was driving slow...stuck in traffic...weather is sunny 32*C and my oil was reading 110*C. Car would jolt if i gave more then 40% throttle or go near 3000rpm...did this in all gears, i had to drive in 5th gear to go 60kmh. Seems like the same issue u are having..i installed G3 intake 2 days ago....ever find out what the issue is? Is it actualy limp mode?

bump...it went away but as i was coming home tonight it happend again but my oil temp was 90*C so it wasnt due to over heating...it is now raining outside....does anyone know what this is.

Limp mode is generally engaged when the ECU detects a sensor input that it is not comfortable with, IE not enough signal output to support higher RPM operation. The trick is to find the sensor that is either bad, or reporting below normal output. The dealer may need to scan the car to find this..The oil temp limp is just one cause, and not a factor here obviously..

While this is a chart from a Motronic system (VW/Audi) it gives you an idea of all the sensor inputs that are used to feed the ECU..
