Oh boy... I am still surprised a PDR tech couldn't shape this back so you could just have it repainted.
As for the body shop hammering out the dent, this is a very bad idea. Your car is going to look horrible. If you want to ensure your car is back to normal you either should go to car-part.com and see if you can find a new rear quarter panel and just repaint or PDR.
Otherwise if you don't take my advice I look forward to pics of your hammered out fender...
