Personally I think black is the weakest colour on the 370Z. I am constantly mistaking the two 370Zs that are in town here for a 350Z until I see either the tail lights or the European fog lamp. The lines are so washed out with the black. The 370Z has some serious curves - the rear end is mouth watering and very destinctive. So why hide that with the black....
The other less important reason I wouldn't get a black car is that every other car here in town and pretty much every other city I travel to is either white, black or silver. Those colours are done to death and sooooo common place. I'll admit my friend's '07 G35 looks great in black but the 370Z looks washed out..... but the G doesn't have near the curves and lines of the 370Z. Definately Red!

I like the curves on the black. Yes more work to keep looking nice, but it is a labor of love. Yesterday there was a meeting in No. VA and we had every color except white (although a white 350Z did join us) and I have to say that each color reps well. Different lighting, angle of view brings out subtleties in the lines. Get which one YOU like the most.

Here is a great test for selecting a color……………got to the Nissan dealership at night when there is little or no illumination of the flattering angles. If you want the Z to be incognito and stealthy at night go black. Red amplifies the great sexy lines day or night. I couldn’t decide in the beginning between red and black, but once I visited the dealership at night in almost total darkness, my decision was made for me. Car color is a personal choice. Some cars look great in black………BMW, Mercedes-Benz etc. and some cars look great in red……….Ferrari, Corvettes, and my Z.

There is no bad color on the 370.

I'm biased to black...since I have a black car. However, all my other vehicles were red. I went into the dealership to buy a red Z, but they had a black one in the showroom and it took my breath away so I had them order me one. The advice to go look at them in person is spot on. I totally changed my color choice after seeing them in person. Black is just stunning.
Another example is that I never liked yellow cars...until I saw toohip's in person. Its beautiful and totally changed my perspective towards yellow. I would own one in a heartbeat.

Yup. No one color adds or subtracts anything from the lines of the Z. They only add their own bit of character to the car.
I love my Red but at that meet yesterday I spent a lot of time admiring all of the other colors. You can't go wrong with the 370.
