Well, threw a bunch of codes, haven't figured out why it won't start yet. Probably won't find anything out until tomorrow.
First codes was a crank sensor, we replaced it with a new one and it still won't start. They have been online and on the phone with Nissan all day, so I don't think we will know until tomorrow. I am afraid it may be the timing chain |

Hmmmm...... I want to know too. 8+ years ago, the only non-destructive engine was the Toyota. I should probably Google the Z. |

Ouch. I was just thinking (reading the first post) that it was timing chain. If nothing internal is messed up and no valves are bent, they should be able to bring her to top dead center, put on the new chain and you should be good to go. But they may pull the motor all together and put in a new one just because it'd be a pain to pull the motor apart to check the internals.

When a chain or belt breaks at speed on an interference engine it's usually sayonara.
Heads and valves at a minimum, often pistons needed too..In a warranty scenario I'd guess they'd just replace the engine.. Let's hope it's not that dramatic! |

Yikes. Let's hope it's an easy fix but sounds like it that isn't the case.
